Lawrence M. Wein

Wein is the Paul E. Holdren Professor of Management Science at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. (He is also an affiliated faculty member at Stanford’s Center for International Security and Cooperation.) His research interests include emergency responses to bioterrorism and mathematical models in operations management, medicine, and biology. As such, since 9/11, he has analyzed a number of homeland security problems, including emergency responses to a smallpox and anthrax attack and the screening of shipping containers for nuclear weapons.
